1 yr later, the Nice American Outside Act is already securing Missouri’s public lands


The Great American Outdoors Act, the most significant conservation and recreation act in decades, went into effect a year ago. We are already beginning to see the benefits to Missouri’s public land.

If you think back to last summer, it is perhaps surprising that in an election year and the most intense party-political tensions of a generation, lawmakers from both corridors of Congress were able to get together to pass laws at all. But the Great American Outdoors Act shows that Americans of many different political beliefs agree on at least one thing: protecting America’s natural heritage is essential.
