2022 Labor Day Closures for Seattle Parks and Recreation


Many parks and recreation facilities in Seattle will be closed on Monday, September 5 for the Labor Day holiday.

These facilities and services are CLOSED:

  • All leisure programs
  • community centers and youth centers
  • environmental learning centers
  • indoor pools
  • Green Lake Small Craft Center
  • Mount Baker Rowing and Sailing Center
  • Amy Yee Tennis Center
  • Seattle Japanese Garden and Volunteer Park Conservatory (normally closed on Mondays)

These facilities are OPEN to the regular timetables:

  • parks
  • Colman and Mounger outdoor pools
  • spray parks
  • Wading Pools (Green Lake, Lincoln Park, Van Asselt and Volunteer Park)
  • Patrolled Beaches (Madison, Magnuson, Pritchard, and West Green Lake Beach)
  • boat ramps
  • Golf courses and ranges
