Whether you’re kitted out in a luxury Class A RV or keep it simple with a Class B RV, here are five super cool RV campsites in the Centennial State. These quaint back streets, historic ghost towns, and the Old West countryside are waiting for you.

Dakota Terraces campsite

Located in the Charlie neighborhood of Ridgway State Park in the Netherlands, near Ouray, Dakota Terraces Campground offers year-round tent and RV camping with power hookups, toilets, shared water, and rubbish tips. They also have three yurts if your crew needs some time from each other (there is no need to explain this). This section is only a few minutes’ walk from the reservoir and the beach and offers the best views of the mountains. The park’s reservoir is eight kilometers long and is great for wakeboarding, water skiing, and boating. There are sandy beaches, volleyball, hiking trails, and picnic areas.

Rifle Falls State Park Campground

The Rifle Falls State Park Campground is located in the Rifle Falls State Park. There are 13 drive-in RV sites with 30-amp sockets, fire rings, picnic tables, and communal water. Campsites are also available. The park offers waterfalls, hiking trails, limestone caves, and fishing opportunities. Pack a picnic and relax by the falls or visit the nearby Grand Mesa Scenic Byway.

Fort Collins Lakeside KOA

Fort Collins Lakeside KOA offers amenities like WiFi, electrical outlets, cable TV, a seasonal pool, 50/30 amps, water and sewage. There is a pavilion and a pavilion for events. Tent camping and cabins are also available.

About an hour away is the National Forest, where you can experience rugged adventures like mountain biking, rock climbing, and hiking. Visit Cache La Poudre River for fly fishing and white water rafting on Class IV rapids.

Elk Meadow Lodge and RV Resort

Located near Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest, Elk Meadow Lodge and RV Resort have 169 full-service RV sites, cabins, tents, and teepees. Amenities include WiFi, cable TV, laundry facilities, and bathhouses. On-site activities include mini golf, a heated pool and hot tub, playground, game room, beer and wine bar, and live entertainment. Arkansas Point Campground RV Park

Arkansas Point Campground RV Park is located near Lake Pueblo State Park near the southern boat ramp, which makes it convenient for those traveling by boat. The campsite has toilets, coin-operated showers, laundry, electricity connections and a disposal station. Along with 200 year old trees, the state park offers 60 miles of shoreline for boating, jet skiing, wakeboarding, sailing, trout and perch fishing, biking, and hiking.
