Lake Paddle is Wednesday, April 6th with the Outdoor Adventures Center.

Use April to enjoy the warm weather with physical play, outdoors and wellness. Check out these 6 things happening with Campus Recreation this week.

SMART cycling
April 4 | Outdoor Adventure Center

This course teaches adult cyclists how to use a bike with confidence and competence for pleasure, utility and sport in a variety of highway, climate, terrain and traffic conditions. Class time is spent on your bike for exercises to improve your bike handling skills and riding as part of traffic on the road.

Free for UNL students.


Cycling: fitness trainer seminar
April 4 | Campus Rec Center or Zoom

Learn more about opportunities to become certified to teach various group fitness classes at Campus Recreation. This seminar focuses on cycling instruction and is part of a multi-part seminar series designed to train new instructors.


CookWell Class: Instant Pot 101
April 7 | Rec & Wellness Center, Wellness Kitchen

Learn all about what makes Instant Pots great for making delicious meals. Instant Pots will be provided for the class and attendees will be able to try recipes for French dip sandwiches, coleslaw and homemade french fries.

Registration closes on April 4th.


Deadline for Intramural 4×4 Flag Soccer and Indoor Volleyball Leagues
April 7 | Campus Rec Center, Internal Sports Office

Thursday is the deadline for students to register teams for both 4×4 flag football and indoor volleyball for the upcoming spring season. Entry fees are $40 per soccer team and $60 per volleyball team.

April 6 | Outdoor Adventure Center

Enjoy an evening excursion with a group of other huskers to kayak or explore a local lake
Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP). No previous knowledge is necessary. Watercraft, paddles, and instruction are provided. Pre-registration required.

$15 for UNL students.

Enter to win great prizes by taking part in group fitness classes throughout the month of April. Each time you take a specific course, you can cover a space on your scorecard. The more BINGOs you score, the better your chances of winning.

Participants must have or purchase an all-class pass. Pre-registration is required for each class.
