ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – It’s been a long time since Austin Trout came a long way to fight. On Friday he will headline the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai with Alejandro Davila from Mexico.
The last time Trout traveled this far was to Korea, where he fought as an amateur. “The time difference is a bit of an obstacle, I’m not going to lie, but I’m built for it,” said Trout. “It’s like trying to wake up and you know it’s light outside. Trying to wake up was just so hard.” The former WBA light middleweight champion will set a 33-5-1 record against the 22-2-2 Davila in the ring.
