AUSTIN (KXAN) – The City of Austin’s Homeless Strategy Division will host two public meetings on Zoom this week to update the community on their efforts to address homelessness in the city.
The two virtual meetings will include a question-and-answer session with HSD employees, officials said in a release.
“We look forward to providing information on the city’s homelessness-related activities and hearing from the community,” said Dianna Gray, the city’s homelessness strategy officer, in the release.
Areas of focus for the meeting include Austin’s HEAL initiative, housing provision, cold weather shelters, social services for the homeless and enforcement of the camping ordinance.
The first meeting will take place on Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. via Zoom. A second community meeting is planned for Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., also on Zoom.
