Police are looking for a four-year-old girl who was missing from a campsite in Western Australia on Saturday.

Cleo Smith, who was last seen on Saturday around 1:30 a.m. local time, was in a tent at the Blowholes campsite in Macleod, according to a statement released by Western Australia police on Monday.

“There are major concerns about Cleo’s safety,” the statement said. “The WA Police Department is investigating all possibilities and has a variety of investigative resources to assist them, including homicide squad detectives, as well as forensics and local detectives.”

Cleo wore pink one-piece pajamas with a blue and yellow pattern, police said, adding that she was last seen sleeping in a red and black sleeping bag.

She is about 110 centimeters tall, has hazel eyes and honey-blonde hair, the statement said.

The rural settlement of Macleod is located between the sea and Lake Macleod, about 30 miles north of the town of Carnarvon.

The family is from Carnarvon and knows the Macleod area as they often go camping there, according to CNN subsidiary 9 News.

On Monday, officials searched several huts along the coast, police said.

The police have asked everyone who stayed at the campsite or who were nearby to contact them.

Cleo’s mother Ellie Smith posted an information call on Facebook.

“It’s been over 24 hours since I last saw the twinkle in my little girl’s eyes! Please help me find it! If you hear or see anything, please call the police! ”She wrote.

“Last seen at 1:30 a.m. and gone when we woke up from our shared tent at 6 a.m. Very, very unusual for Cleo, ”she added.

Police Inspector Jon Munday said authorities “threw everything” in the search but did not provide many more details, according to 9 News.

“It was reported that a sleeping bag was missing. Besides that, I’m really not free to reveal what else we might be missing, ”said Munday, adding that sea seekers had not found any trace of the little girl.

“We are pleased that they (the police) did their best,” he said.
