Calallen, Vets Memorial lead Hooks Massive College Baseball All-Star staff

Calallen and Veterans Memorial each had three selections to captain the Hooks South Texas Large School Preseason 2022 All-Star Baseball team, which was announced Friday.

Calallen’s contingent included senior pitcher and Texas A&M signee Justin Lamkin, as well as senior first baseman Brayden Sprencel and senior outfielder Terik Hickmon.

Veterans Memorial senior pitcher and re-pick Xavier Perez, was joined by second baseman Jake Martinez and outfield Nick Reyes.

Gregory-Portland’s Easton Dowell, who signed with Texas Tech, was one of three repeat picks in this year’s roster.
