CANTON – Effective July 1, Canton Parks and Recreation is increasing the cost of lodging and facility rentals.
Fees will increase by between $10 and $100 for different rentals, according to the organization, which cited electric, toilet and other upgrades in recent years.

Garaux Hall and the Canton Garden Center now require a $100 check or cash deposit, which will be refunded the following month if no damages have occurred. The center’s weekday rental hours have also changed, from Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a press release.
The new rental rates are as follows:
- Basic Outdoor Accommodation – $50 per day for residents and $60 per day for non-residents.
- Outdoor unit with kitchenette – $75 per day for residents and $85 per day for non-residents.
- Garaux Hall – $225 per day for residents and $275 per day for non-residents.
- Canton Garden Center – $225 for a weekday rental of 6 hours or more and $400 for a weekend rental of 6 hours or more, regardless of residency.
