The Phoenix Suns’ Chris Paul is considered one of the greatest point guards of all time.
There’s a reason he’s earned the nickname “Point God” – the man can make plays, rack up points, and create incredible assists like a true Hall of Famer.
Speaking of assists, Paul is doing a lot of those in the playoffs right now.
Paul averages 21.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 10.1 assists per game.

That now moves Paul to fifth on the all-time playoff assists list.
With his 1,144 playoff assists, Paul now sits just behind Jason Kidd, John Stockton, LeBron James and Magic Johnson.
It’s weird that he’s right behind Kidd because that’s exactly the man he’s up against right now.
Phoenix vs. Dallas
The Suns and Dallas Mavericks are currently battling in the second round of the playoffs.
And the Mavericks have a new head coach: Jason Kidd.
Kidd is trying to bring some of his shooting experience to the team, particularly its star player Luka Doncic.
Doncic is a breakout phenom who is easily one of the best guys in the league right now.
But does he have what it takes to shut down Paul and the Suns?
So far it doesn’t look like it.
In Game 1, Paul had 19 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists and helped the Suns defeat the Mavericks 121-114.
It’s not a great start for the Mavericks, but the streak is far from over.
However, Paul is difficult to overcome, especially when he goes into turbo mode.
For example, in Game 6 of Round 1, Paul fired an historic 14-on-14 and completely crippled the New Orleans Pelicans.
He can be a big problem for his opponents and the Mavericks need to stop him to win.
