Colorado Parks and Wildlife hosts accessible outside pumpkin competition at Fisher’s Peak State Park


TRINIDAD, Colo. (KRDO) — Colorado Parks and Wildlife is partnering with the ABC Disability Support Group to host an outdoor recreation festival focused on outdoor accessibility for all.

The first-ever Pumpkin Festival caters to people with developmental or intellectual disabilities and their friends and families.

Below are some of the festival’s activities:

  • Learn more about the wildlife in our region
  • face paints
  • Story time in the shade
  • Learn about and ride chain wheelchairs
  • Play fun garden games

The festival takes place on Saturday, October 15th at Fisher’s Peak State Park from 10am to 3pm
