Corey Heim – No. 51 JBL Tundra TRD Professional Tenting World Vehicles Darlington Preview

Now that you’ve had time to digest it, how does it feel to be a Camping World Truck Series winner?

“It feels so surreal. Ever since I was a kid I had dreamed of racing in the Truck Series and to win at my home track with KBM and Toyota was very special. Other than that, it takes some of the pressure off me, although the goal of winning races remains the same.”

That victory in Atlanta was the last time you sat behind the wheel of a truck. How hard was it going more than a month without racing in the Truck Series?

“It’s definitely tough sitting on the sidelines while other riders hop in and out in the #51 Tundra TRD Pro, but being able to compete in every race so far this year and be part of the team has taught me a lot about what makes a successful racing team.”

You showed a lot of speed in your Truck Series debut at Darlington last year but were knocked out in an accident. Is this a race you’ve circled on your calendar since your schedule for this year was announced?

“Darlington is certainly a race that I have circled on my calendar. With the experience I’ve gained since debuting there last year, I’m excited to go back and put everything I’ve learned to the test.”
