SEOUL, September 23 (Korea Bizwire) – The government plans to develop 1,201 uninhabited islands that are designated as “usable” for fishing and camping with pets.
The Department of Oceans and Fisheries plans to enact a newly revised law removing restrictions on uninhabited islands to allow public uses such as fishing and removing them from the list of restricted practices such as catching or extracting wild animals and plants except.
The change also allows cooking, camping, and bringing livestock and wildlife to uninhabited islands.
The new law will allow landowners on uninhabited islands to raise cows, sheep and other livestock. Travelers can also bring pets and camp on these islands.
