GLENDALE (CBSLA) – All four became officers, according to a video provided to CBS2 / KCAL9 by a witness showing three plainclothes police from Glendale beating a teenage girl suspected of shoplifting while another uniformed cop comes into the fray and kicks the teen in the face taken on administrative leave.
“The whole thing felt wrong to me,” the witness who recorded the video told CBSLA’s Hermela Aregawi.

The incident occurred at around 7 p.m. on Saturday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods in the Glendale Galleria. The officers, some of whom were assigned to the mall, had received reports of petty thefts in another part of the Galleria.
“The worst part of all of this was the officer who wasn’t there at first, who became aware of this situation, and when he got there he just decided I was going to kick this boy’s head and that’s what he did,” he said Witness.

According to the teen’s attorney, the attack left his client’s eye bruises and some head injuries for which he is still being treated.
Department officials released another statement on Monday which said:
