Free Out of doors Films and Music in Union County Parks – County of Union

Union County’s annual Family Flix and Summer Arts series of free outdoor films and concerts continues in August with three events on August 9th, 10th and 17th.

“As summer draws to a close, we invite everyone to enjoy free entertainment and family-friendly activities at our Union County parks,” said Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Rebecca L. Williams.

The last episode of the Family Fun & Flix series 2022 will be a screening of singing 2 tonight, Tuesday 9 August, at Warinanco Park in Roselle.

The event includes a family-friendly dance party starting at 7:30 p.m. and the film begins at dusk.

The final two concerts of the 2022 Summer Arts series will be held at Oak Ridge Park in Clark as follows:

  • August 10: Live dead — A note-for-note celebration recreating important and beloved periods in the Grateful Dead’s long and illustrious and stylistically diverse career, with plenty of jamming and enhancements in keeping with the spirit of the Grateful Dead.
  • August 17: Pink Floyd USA Experience — This captivating performance is based on five legendary albums – Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall – with award-winning lighting, laser and multimedia effects.

All Summer Arts concerts begin at 6:30pm with a complimentary yoga session to welcome everyone, followed by the concert beginning at 7:30pm
