UCLA opened as an 11.5-point favorite, but the Bruins are currently at minus 17 ahead of Hawaii in their opener.

On August 28, there will be a total of five college football games with large conference teams, officially known as “Week 0”.

The Bruins are the second biggest favorite of the opening weekend in college football, with Fresno State (-27.5) being the biggest heavy. Visiting UConn opened with +26.5 points, but could fall on a four-touchdown dog at kick-off.

This conference game starts the five-game chalkboard at noon CT with a national television audience on FOX. Illinois is a popular pick to surprise in the debut season of former Wisconsin and Arkansas coach Bret Bielema.

The Illinois moneyline is at +220 after opening at +280.

In the only other game on the board for the late August weekend, UTEP, as a 9.5-point favorite in the state of New Mexico, is stuck in a line that hasn’t moved since the morning odds were posted.

There is no line for Southern Utah in San Jose State, the final game on August 28th (10pm ET).
