DENVER (CBS4) – A mistake in the registration system is blamed for causing “waiting times longer than expected” at the vaccination clinic in Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Sunday. Some people said they had to wait in line for three hours to get the vaccine.
Officials initially cited a staff shortage but said Monday they had discovered a bug that caused an influx of unexpected patients.

“While investigating the problem, we discovered a bug in our registration system that allowed an additional 400 Coloradans to register to receive the vaccine,” said Kevin Massey of Centura Health

Massey said they “turned quickly to increase staff and vaccine supplies,” and were able to vaccinate anyone with an appointment.
