The Recreation Master Plan provides a recommended vision and guiding principles as a basis for park and recreation service delivery and infrastructure investment in Gray Highlands
The Gray Highlands community is hosting a public information session on their Recreational Master Plan.
Residents of Gray Highlands are invited to attend an information session on the completed Recovery Master Plan developed by RC Strategies.
The meeting will be held at the Flesherton Kinplex on Tuesday 4th October from 6pm to 9pm.
The Recreation Master Plan provides a recommended vision and guiding principles as a basis for park and recreation service delivery and infrastructure investment in Gray Highlands. The municipality is currently responsible for the operation and maintenance of four arenas, seven community halls, 12 athletic fields, and 13 public parks and playgrounds.
“The plan is quite extensive, making a total of 37 recommendations on indoor recreation facilities, outdoor recreation and parkland lands, and service delivery,” said Michele Harris, director of economic and community development. “This open house-style session will allow residents to meet the advisor, ask questions and gain further insight into the plan.”
The public consultation took place through community-based conversations, online stakeholder meetings and public polls. Public input was solicited throughout the process and written feedback from residents was shared with the advisors. The Council received the plan for information on August 3, 2022.
Questions for the advisor can be sent to [email protected] or 519-986-1216 x 109 prior to the meeting.
