AGM continues to specialize in high-impact, rugged phones for professionals and active outdoor users. The company’s newest handset is the AGM H5 Pro – a rugged, military-grade handset with a huge speaker, ring light, large battery, and even an infrared night vision camera. As usual, AGM tries to strike a balance and offer an affordable package, but the H5 Pro also pushes the envelope with a 2GHz MediaTek Helio G85 processor.

Let’s dive deeper:

AGM H5 Pro resistance values, loudest speaker

The AGM H5 Pro has a stylized, rugged body with a large multicolored ring of light on the back. It’s there to highlight another amazing feature of this phone – a 3.5W 109dB speaker. For comparison: A loud rock band rehearsal with live drums reaches up to 106 dB. The rugged housing is IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certified for dust, water and shock resistance. The phone can survive under 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, is 99% dustproof and has been tested through multiple drops from 1.5 meters (4.92 feet).

The durability of the phone and these speakers make it a good choice for professionals working with noisy machines or hikers who want a sturdy phone with good sound all in one.

The screen on the front is 6.5 inches diagonal and has a resolution of 720p. It is an LCD panel with a maximum brightness of 500 nits.

AGM H5 Pro hardware and camera setup

AGM broke the stereotype of “affordable rugged phones” and decided to equip the H5 Pro with a more powerful chip than usual. The phone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 – an octa-core processor with clock speeds of up to 2GHz. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and offers 128GB of storage. All of this is powered by a 7,000mAh battery – larger than many of the mainstream power banks out there.

The AGM H5 Pro is designed to last 400 hours on standby, 150 hours of music playback or 32 hours of video playback on a single charge. It can be recharged using a 15W wallbrick or a dedicated 10W AGM desktop dock.

The main camera on the back has a 48 MP sensor from Samsung and a lens opening of F1.8. The infrared night vision camera has a 20 MP Sony sensor and therefore also offers high-resolution night images. And then there’s a 20MP selfie camera to capture memorabilia and shareable photos of your hikes.

Finally, everything runs on Android 12 – a clean version of the latest Google operating system with improved customization, privacy dashboard and
