COLORADO SPRINGS – Get outdoors with Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) for weekend kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, fishing, archery and more outdoor activities.
The event will take place at Memorial Park until 3:00 p.m. The first 800 children will receive a free fishing pole from CPW. All activities are free and available to participants.
“We are fortunate to live in a place where there are countless outdoor opportunities available to us,” said Tim Kroening, Colorado Parks and Wildlife Area wildlife manager for the Pikes Peak region. “This event provides an opportunity for the whole family to learn about the many things to do in the Pikes Peak area.”
The annual event is back for 2022 having been canceled for the past two years due to the pandemic.
“It’s a fun way to connect people with the unparalleled outdoor recreation opportunities and organizations here in the Pikes Peak region,” said Becky Leinweber, General Manager of PPORA. “Participants can try a new outdoor activity, learn how to rebuild responsibly using Leave No Trace principles, and more.”
