Hooks & Chops Of Commack Named Greatest Steakhouse On Lengthy Island

COMMACK, NY – Hooks & Chops of Commack was named Best Steakhouse on Long Island by the 2022 Bethpage Best of Long Island Awards.

Hooks & Chop open in October 2020 at 6330 Jericho Turnpike. The restaurant is managed by chef and operator Steven Del Lima.

“It’s really an honor to be recognized as the best steakhouse given the short time we’ve been open,” Del Lima told Patch. “My staff, family and I have put our hearts and souls into making Hooks & Chops what it is today. The immense gratitude I have for those who come in and enjoy the food as much as I enjoy creating it is like no other!”

Hooks & Chops offers both steak and seafood. Del Lima previously worked at Wild Fin in Huntington; Black & Blue Seafood Chophouse in Huntington; and Perfecto Mundo Latin Fusion Bistro in Commack. However, he called Hooks & Chops his “dream come true”.

Del Lima ages its steaks in a blend of aging and curing while the meat is aged in a cedar-lined salt-brick room for 28 days.
