Hooks & Chops Of Lengthy Island Closes

COMMACK, NY – Hooks & Chops, a seafood and steakhouse hybrid in Commack, recently announced its closure on Facebook.

“Due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances, Chef and Owner Steven Del Lima is saddened that Hooks & Chops has been forced to close its doors,” the restaurant wrote on Facebook. “We would like to thank our loyal employees and customers for the support, and we thank you all for the past two years of service.”

The restaurant hinted that Del Lima could return to the culinary scene.

“Please keep an eye out for new ventures from Chef Steve and thanks again for everything.”

The restaurant said its closure came as a “shock” to it and had no intention of closing “until the very last minute”. As such, Hooks & Chops said it will issue a refund to anyone who has a gift card if they email a photo and receipt of the gift card to [email protected]

“There’s nothing like Hooks & Chops in the area where you can get fresh seafood and also prime dried steaks of the caliber that we offer,” Del Lima told Patch when he opened the restaurant.
