Camping for Cans is i95’s annual food/cash drive benefitting local families in need.
Every year our team comes out for 3 days and we go to a parking lot where we collect non-perishable food donations as well as monetary donations on behalf of Hillside Food Outreach. Hillside is an amazing, local organization focused on delivering quality, nutritious food to the low-income, chronically ill, disabled and people who don’t have access to a traditional pantry.
Last year was our best year yet – we raised over $20,000 in donations and over £7,000 in food. Every year we become extremely competitive and try our best to beat the last ones.
A bit run down for this year:
Who: Team i95 – We also invite our local celebrity friends. This year we have big plans and lots of guests. We will be broadcasting live from the parking lot all weekend.
What: We accept non-perishable groceries, online donations, cash and checks made payable to Hillside Food Outreach.
Where: The BJ parking lot is located at 106 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT.
When: Friday 18th November, Saturday 19th November and Sunday 20th November. The event begins at 6:00 a.m. on Friday and ends at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Why: Because it’s the least we can do to give back to a great community.
Here is our link for online donations.
Camping for Cans couldn’t happen without our amazing sponsors:

- Coca-Cola Northeast
- M&T Bank
- Dave’s camper
- Durkin’s tent rental
- BJ’s
Come out and say hello! It’s one of our favorite weekends of the year because it gives us a chance to see all of our listeners and friends while giving back to our community. And guess what? You might even make it into this year’s photo album.

Camping for Cans is our annual food/money drive to benefit the Hillside Food Outreach. Hillside is an organization that feeds those in need throughout Greater Danbury. For years, I-95 has worked with them to publicize the needs of our neighbors in the area. 2021 was a huge success and we raised thousands of dollars and truckloads of food with Hillside and our corporate sponsors. These were some of the many faces that joined us over the weekend (11/19-21/11).
