Journey&Tenting Exhibition kicks off at Al Dhaid: 27 October 2022, 11:18


SHARYA. KAZINFORM Expo Al Dhaid on Wednesday saw the kick off of the fourth edition of the Adventure and Camping Exhibition 2022, which is unique of its kind in the region and is being organized with the support of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Al Dhaid (SCCI) at under the supervision of Expo Center Sharjah from 26th to 30th October.

This year’s edition attracted a wide local and international participation with 45 exhibitors showing the lovers of camping and land and sea cruising more than 200 brands and 10,000 products such as cutting-edge equipment, tools and accessories for camping, cruising, outdoor sports, fishing and hunting. Visitors will also be updated on the latest developments in tourist sea and land cruises so they can enjoy breathtaking live shows, competitions and surprises tailored for families and youth, reports WAM.

The exhibition was opened by Sheikh Majid bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of Suburban and Village Affairs Department, Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), and Jamal Muhammad bin Howaiden, Member of the Board Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Also present were a number of SCCI and Expo Center Sharjah board members and Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of the Department of Economic Relations and Marketing, SCCI, along with a number of officials and government agency representatives in Al Dhaid.

Jamal bin Howaiden stressed that the success and continuity of the event over four editions is an inevitable continuation of the significant development and quality transformation that is taking place in the central region of the Emirate of Sharjah thanks to HH Dr. Watching Sheikh Sultan in all areas is bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, noting that the Chamber of Sharjah’s willingness to support the exhibition is in line with this trend.

He added that the event is one of the chamber’s initiatives aimed at reviving economic activity in the central region by supporting exhibitions, conferences and professional events, and motivating Emirati young people and entrepreneurs to enter the excursion and camping industry Investing is booming among UAE residents and visitors, not to mention contributing to the national tourism sector, whose revenues exceeded AED19 billion in the first half of 2022.

Sultan Shattaf, Sales & Marketing Director at Expo Center Sharjah, pointed out that the exhibition is among the events that go a long way in supporting so-called desert tourism, especially as the Emirate of Sharjah hosts the largest and most prominent tourism projects in the region. He noted that the adventure and camping exhibition has become an ideal platform to meet the demands and needs of desert tourism workers. He also emphasized that the current edition presents many products, innovations and new activities that meet the ambitions of exhibitors and visitors interested in one of the most important camping and adventure fairs in the region.
