Lydgate, Salt Pond Seaside Parks Open For Tenting Allow Reservations : Kauai Now : Kauai Information & Data


Anyone wishing to camp at Lydgate and Salt Pond beach parks can now apply for permits.

The County Department of Parks and Recreation announced Monday, May 9 that camping at the two parks is now open for reservations. In addition, camping is still available at ‘Anini and Anahola Beach parks.

The cost of permits at Salt Pond Park is $3 per person per night. Hawaii residents and children under 18 are exempt from the fee.

Permits for Lydgate Park are $5 per day for Hawaii residents for 10-by-10-foot and 20-by-20-foot campsites. Nonresident rate is $25 per day for same size campgrounds.

Upgrades to the camping permit registration system happened last week. Anyone already using the online camping permit portal should check their profile to ensure their information is correct.
