The National Democratic Congress’s National Congress Planning Committee has noted the unfortunate practice of camping delegates by some candidates at the youth and women’s conferences scheduled to be held at the University of Cape Coast on Saturday, December 10, 2020.

The Committee would like to inform all candidates, delegates and those involved in the upcoming elections that detailed accommodation arrangements have already been made for all delegates attending the conference tomorrow. Therefore, no candidate is permitted to camp or lodge delegates outside of approved and sanctioned delegate accommodation facilities.

We would like to point out that the party is not responsible for the safety of delegates accepting such offers from candidates to be accommodated in unauthorized facilities.

All candidates, delegates and stakeholders must strictly adhere to this policy to ensure everyone’s safety and to ensure the early start of the proceedings tomorrow.

Any regional youth organizer or regional women’s organizer who allows delegates under their supervision to camp by a person in violation of this policy will be sanctioned by the party.

(Chairman of the Congress Planning Committee)
