What we bought this week

As we covered the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, our employees bought a few items of their own, including Christmas gifts and household essentials. Here are the products we’re most looking forward to.

“I bought these sneakers when they first came out in March and have been (literally) killing them ever since. When I saw they were on sale I couldn’t resist buying a new pair. They’re lightweight but supportive and are great for running outdoors or on the treadmill.” — Zoe Malin, Assistant Editor for Updates

“My brother and I bought this iPad as a Christmas present for my mother. My mom is an iPad loyalist and has been using the same iPad to watch most of her movies and TV shows since 2017. We wanted to give it a bigger screen and a clearer display, so we went with the 10.2-inch 9th Gen option, which also has up to 10 hours of battery life and can also work with an Apple Pencil.” — Katrina Liu, intern in the digital editorial department

“Although my partner and I always hire a sitter for our cats on vacation, I still wanted to be able to keep an eye on my pets myself, so I chose the Furbo dog camera. In addition to being able to check on my cats (Enzo and Luna), I also hand out treats for them, which makes me feel close to them even from afar.” —Rebecca Rodriguez, Editor-in-Chief
