One lifeless after tenting trailer fireplace at North York retailer parking zone | Information

One person is dead after a fire ripped through a caravan in a grocery store car park in North York on Sunday night.

Firefighters were called at 6:09 p.m. to reports of a vehicle fire at 1400 Victoria Park Ave., south of Eglinton Avenue

“When crews arrived, they encountered a fully entangled small trailer,” Toronto Fire Services captain Dan Vieira said. “The reports we received before we got there said someone may have lived or slept in it.”

Vieira said the fire was “quickly extinguished” and that one person was found dead in the trailer, which was not attached to a vehicle. Nobody else was hurt.

Vieira said the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

The Police, Firefighter’s Office and Toronto Fire Department are investigating.

Police are asking anyone who can provide leads to call each other on 0416-808-2222.
