A week of family-friendly outdoor events will usher in a second term as Mayor of St. Paul for Melvin Carter.
The formality – Carter takes the oath of office – is scheduled for January 3 at noon and will be streamed live on Facebook in light of the ongoing pandemic.
“These unique times require new approaches to every aspect of urban design, including our traditional opening activities,” said Carter. “I feel humble about the opportunity to continue working with our residents, businesses and public workers to jointly pave the way for the future.”
A variety of winter opportunities begin the Monday of the week before Carter takes his oath:
Monday, 1 p.m .: toboggan run, Battle Creek Recreation Center, 75 Winthrop St. S.
Wednesday, 1 p.m .: Ice Skating, North Dale Recreation Center, 1414 St. Albans St. N.
Thursday, 1 p.m .: Snow Sculptures, Edgcumbe Recreation Center, 320 Griggs St. S.
