Nevada’s outdoor recreation partners are pleased to announce the launch of Nevada Trail Finder, a free, web-based mapping resource designed to help Nevadans and visitors discover thousands of miles of hiking trails throughout Nevada’s many public lands and waterways.

This easy-to-use, digital mapping platform features detailed driving directions pages that enable outdoor recreation seekers to explore Nevada’s vibrant trail systems, download maps for offline use, get essential information and planning tools, get tips for responsible and sustainable recreation, submit travel comments and photos , and much more.

In addition, the public can use the Nevada Trail Finder to keep track of their personal trail experiences, noting trails they’ve explored, their favorites, or those they plan to visit.

Dominique Etchegoyhen, associate director of the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, says: “We are excited to join with our interagency partners in launching the Nevada Trail Finder – a unique resource in Nevada – to encourage people of all ages, abilities and Backgrounds to get outside, connect with nature, and explore Nevada’s vast outdoor treasures in a sustainable and responsible manner, attracting visitors for years to come while advancing efforts to solidify Nevada as a premier recreational destination.

Nevada Trail Finder currently offers over 150 trail systems in all regions of the state. New trails are being added all the time, so check the site regularly for new trails and adventures to discover.

Nevada Trail Finder was developed by multiple state, federal, and nonprofit partners, including:

  • Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation, Nevada Division of State Parks, Nevada Off-Highway Vehicles Program);
  • The Great Basin Institute;
  • Travel to Nevada;
  • Bureau of Land Management; and
  • US Forest Service.
