Outdoor recreation in Nevada is the talk of the town at the next Carson City Rotary Club meeting. Colin Robertson, the outdoor recreation administrator for the Nevada Department of Conservation and Resources, will be the guest speaker.

The meeting, which will take place in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom on Tuesday, September 21, will begin at noon with an optional lunch. Guests are invited.

As the department’s administrator, Robertson is focused on enhancing our state’s unique outdoor recreational opportunities and promoting a healthy and sustainable outdoor recreational economy. “Outdoor recreation is an integral part of life in Nevada. My goal is to protect our wild places while supporting a healthy recreational economy, ”he said. “I encourage people of all ages, origins and abilities to go outside and enjoy the enormous recreational splendor of our state.”

Robertson is the first administrator of the NDOR, which was founded in January 2020. In his role, he also works to educate Nevada’s youngsters about the state’s outdoor recreational opportunities, engage underserved populations, and attract new outdoor recreational businesses to Nevada.
