Outside Heritage Fund functions due Sept. 1 | Govt-and-politics

The North Dakota Industrial Commission is accepting applications for the Outdoor Heritage Fund Program by September 1st.

Legislators established the multimillion-dollar fund in 2013 to provide grants to support conservation of fish and wildlife habitats, outdoor recreation areas, agriculture and ranching, and access to public and private lands for athletes.

Grants are available to state agencies, tribal governments, political subdivisions, and nonprofit organizations. The money comes from tax revenues from oil and gas exploration.
