Highlights: The RockHounds hit three homers in the fourth inning and added another in the fifth to win a slugfest with the Hooks. Those three home runs led to a seven-run fourth inning and added four more in the fifth. However, the Hooks didn’t go easy with five runs in the eighth inning but failed to score in the ninth.

Highlights: A seven-run fourth inning proved the difference in the RockHounds’ third straight win over the Hooks at Momentum Bank Ballpark. Corpus Christi took a 4-1 lead in the top half of the fourth quarter as Bryan Arias, Wilyer Abreu and Ross Adolph all delivered run-producing hits. But Chase Calabuig and Devin Foyle answered for Midland, combining for two extra base hits and five RBI to cement the RockHounds lead. Corpus Christi fell to 12-20 with the series finale scheduled for Sunday.

Jeremy Eierman’s two-run home run was the big hit in the fourth inning, and in the fifth, Shane Selman hit a two-run double. Four RockHounds pitchers combined for 13 hooks that night as Corpus Christi only had five hits.

Highlights: Hook’s pitchers delivered eight straight innings of shutout to fuel the club’s win over the RockHounds at Momentum Bank Ballpark. Jaime Melendez got the start for Corpus Christi, followed by Matt Ruppenthal, Chandler Casey and Joe Record, who combined for nine strikeouts. Luke Berryhill drove in two of the Hooks’ three runs to lead Corpus Christi offensively. The hooks are now 12-17.

Zack Gelof and Devin Foyle combined for four RBI and Kyle McCann hit his second home run of the season to lead the RockHounds offense. Shay Whitcomb, Justin Dirden and Luke Berryhill finished with two each to lead Corpus Christi, which fell to 11-17.
