Spring Recreation Season Opens April 1 at Stonewall Resort with Golf, Marina Opening

WESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – According to experts in the field, outdoor recreation contributes significantly to a person’s physical and mental health. With the opening of the Stonewall Resort’s 134-berth Palmer golf course and marina on Friday, April 1 and its associated water activities, both day and overnight guests will have multiple opportunities to exercise outdoors and improve their overall well-being .

“Outdoor recreation, whether it’s a walk, bike ride, a round of golf or a boat trip on the lake to hunt for the next big fish, is good for our mind, body and spirit,” said Andre’ D’Amour, General Manager at Stonewall Resort. “Since the pandemic, people have been craving outdoor experiences more than ever, and we’re proud to offer a variety of activities to create scenic, relaxing and fun outdoor escapes.”

D’Amour noted that the 2022 golf season marks the 20th anniversary of play at the Palmer Golf Course. The course, which opened in May 2002 following an exhibition by golfing legend Arnold Palmer, remains one of the top rated golf courses in the region. If rounds are any indicator, the 2021 course had the most rounds in its history. For golf prices and course information click here.
