Council Eugene

WORK UNIT
When: 5:30 p.m. Monday
What: Councilors will discuss a proposed plan for public engagement to electrify and decarbonize buildings.

REGULAR MEETINGS
When: 7:30 p.m. Monday
What: Council members will report on committee actions and other points of interest before considering an approval calendar of minutes, the tentative work agenda for future meetings, and a resolution approving biennial budgeting.
The Council will then hold a public forum.
Council members will also vote on four resolutions and ordinances:
- A resolution approving biennial (biennial) budgeting for the Urban Renewal Agency
- An ordinance that would amend the city law on interference with police officers to comply with changes in state law
- An ordinance renewing the franchise agreement with Comcast
- An ordinance amending the city ordinance to introduce clear and objective eligibility criteria for housing

What: Councilors receive an update on strategic planning.

Springfield City Council

WORK UNIT

What: The City Attorney will brief City Councilors on the necessary changes to the city ordinance prohibiting camping in public spaces to comply with federal court decisions and changes in state law.
Councilors will also receive an update on a project to clarify the comprehensive plan map.
They will then continue a discussion of parking requirements under the state’s rules for climate-friendly and equitable communities.

BOARD OF THE SPRINGFIELD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
The SEDA Board consists of the City Council, the Mayor and the Lane County Commissioner representing Springfield.
When: Monday 7 p.m
What: After the meeting opens, Board members listen and respond to public comments.
They will then vote on a resolution that would authorize the city manager to award contracts that would normally require board approval during the winter break.

Lane County Board of Commissioners

Participate: Board of Commissioners meetings begin at 9:00 am at Harris Hall, 125 E 8th Ave. unless otherwise noted. Harris Hall doors open at 8:45am

Those who come to the meeting in person should register on the registration sheet at the front door.
During the session there will be instructions to speak at public hearings and to make public comments.

MORNING SESSION
When: 9 a.m. Tuesday
What: The commissioners will listen to and respond to public comments before considering a consent calendar that includes contracts and accepting $8.3 million in federal funding.
You will also be updated on the progress of updating the Willamalane Park and Recreation Area Comprehensive Plan. This discussion starts at 10 am
The board then receives a report on a legal analysis of what would be required to rename Lane County.

AFTERNOON SESSION
When: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday
What: The board will hold a public hearing on a regulation to renew a franchise agreement with Comcast. The agreement allows the cable company to use the county’s rights-of-way for infrastructure.
Commissioners will also vote on an executive order that would authorize the use of county funds to build a wildfire evacuation route between Laughlin Road and Sarvis Berry Lane, south-west of Eugene.
