The Day – Analyst says gasoline costs would possibly cease climbing


CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) – The average US price of regular gasoline rose 3 cents to $ 3.25 a gallon in the past three weeks.

Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg, of the Lundberg poll, said on Sunday that gas prices could stop rising now that crude oil costs have started to fall.

The price at the pump is a dollar higher than a year ago.

Nationwide, the highest average price for normal gas is in the San Francisco Bay Area at $ 4.50 per gallon. The lowest average in Baton Rouge, La., Is $ 2.74 per gallon.

According to the survey conducted on Friday, the average diesel price was $ 3.33 a gallon, 2 cents more than three weeks earlier.
