Pad Climbing in San Luis Obispo is hosting a fundraiser throughout the month to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
On Wednesday, Pad Climbing had an association representative helping people sign up for the month-long fundraiser.
Participating climbers choose either improvement or endurance events and join family and friends to raise funds in a friendly competition.
You will be given a donation and tracking form and each week the results for the most improvements, best endurance and most pledged money will be compiled and published on a leaderboard.
Prizes for these, as well as most donations raised, will be rewarded, including gift certificates and climbing gear.
The Pad Climbing hopes this pilot project will become a national annual program for the charity.
