In the fall of 2020, needy local Little League programs had the opportunity to apply for the DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation’s equipment grant program, which offers a starter kit that provides only the bare minimum and allows children with limited resources to play ball. This program continues to support Little League International’s strategic efforts to make the game more affordable and accessible to all families and to ensure that every child has the opportunity to play baseball and softball.
A thank you letter from one of the players.
“We know that many of our Little League families have faced difficult financial circumstances after this unprecedented year, and that it can be very difficult for many of them to purchase equipment for their child,” said Stephen D.
