Tipperary outside recreation areas obtain grants totalling €321,884

A number of outdoor recreation areas in Tipperary have been allocated grants totaling €321,884 under the Government’s Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme.

The funding was welcomed by Tipperary TD Jackie Cahill.

Ten projects in County Tipperary will receive the grant support.

These projects will enhance existing outdoor recreation facilities and help develop new facilities that are an important resource for local communities and visitors to the region, he said.

“Ease of access to outdoor facilities in any community is beneficial for all ages,” said Fianna Fáil TD.

Deputy Cahill commended Tipperary County Council and the efforts of those who worked together to bring these projects to this stage.

The commitment of local community groups has been critical to the success of this program, he said.
