Tornadoes embark on one week shut tenting in Kaduna

Niger Tornadoes FC management, Minna, has approved a week-long camp at Kaduna to allow state darling team Niger Tornadoes FC to adequately prepare for the start of the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

Club Chairman Hon Adamu Aliyu Mohammed has always stressed that the team must have solid preparation to guarantee success during the league season, hence his support for the team to proceed with the closure of the campsite.

Meanwhile, the team’s technical adviser Abubakar Bala Mohammed, while addressing the players, stated that the tight camping after the completion of the new season’s recruitment process is appropriate and timely, as it will give the technical crew ample time and opportunity to work on the team’s general tactics, group tactics and set pieces, as well as some weaknesses discovered during the club’s pre-season programmes. Other programs scheduled during the camp include lectures on the new rules of the game and a few friendlies to fine-tune the team.

The Ikon Boys landed in Kaduna on Wednesday and trained at Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
