Vanderbilt remained # 1 in the D1Baseball Top 25 rankings after winning a street streak at LSU to improve to 23-3 overall and 8-1 on the SEC. Arkansas stayed in second place after winning a highly competitive street series in Auburn, and Ole Miss stayed in fourth place despite dropping two out of three on the road in Florida. Texas moved up to # 4, and the state of Mississippi returned to the top 5, climbing three spots from # 8 after beating Kentucky.
Tennessee continued to climb the rankings, moving up three places to sixth after winning a street series in Alabama. East Carolina and TCU returned to the top 10 at numbers 9 and 10.
South Carolina and Florida moved up three places to 11 and 12, respectively, after winning the Georgia series and beating Ole Miss. There weren’t any other great climbers in the leaderboard, although some teams have moved up a spot or two. Georgia Tech dropped nine places to 15th after losing a series to Virginia, and UCLA fell from 10th to 21st after losing a home series to Washington. The final four teams – Arizona, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, and Michigan – remained static.
D1Baseball editors and national authors determine the top 25 placements. Records are set by games from April 4th.
