Vermont providing greater than $6M in recreation grants


MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) – The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation offers more than $ 6 million in grants for outdoor recreation.

The Vermont Outdoor Recreation Economic Collaborative Community Grant Program 2021 and the Enhancement of Recreational Stewardship and Access Trail Grants have similar application deadlines, serve different purposes, and will fund different types of work.

The Community Grant Program helps Vermont communities use their local outdoor activities for greater economic vitality and other benefits.

The Trail Grant program accepts applications for trail projects on privately owned land with public easements or written permission from the landowner.

Application forms for both programs are due by August 27th.
