Virtually €180,000 allotted to develop out of doors recreation services in Kerry

Nearly €180,000 has been allocated for the development of outdoor leisure facilities in Kerry.

The Department for Rural and Community Development has a strategic partnership with Coillte, providing €3 million annually for the period 2022-2026.

This is used to improve leisure facilities on the Coillte countryside and to encourage tourism and economic activity in rural areas.

In Kerry, €100,000 has been allocated for works on the entrance and car park at Glanteenassig, Castlegregory; this falls under the capital investment modernization program.
