Wasatch Mountain Inst.’s Backcountry Movie Fest connects all ages to the surprise of the outside

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah – The Wasatch Mountain Institute (WMI) is dedicated to connecting children, families and communities to the wonders, recreational and educational opportunities of the Wasatch Mountains. The nonprofit organization, launched in 2019, teaches site-based academic field trips and hosts regular community events at Jordanelle State Park’s Rock Cliff Nature Center.

WMI’s upcoming event, Backcountry Film Festival 2022, is a collaboration with the Winter Wildlands Alliance and Park City Film. Taking place at the Jim Santy Auditorium on Thursday, November 10th, the film festival marks the second year WMI has hosted the festival (last year it was virtual).

Partnering with the Winter Wildlands Alliance and hosting the film reinforces WMI’s mission to connect people with the wonders of nature.
