WILSON SPORTING GOODS REIMAGINES THE SPORTS STORE WITH THE OPENING OF ITS NEW YORK CITY FLAGSHIP

The 6,400 square foot retail space reinvents the traditional sporting goods store and offers an extensive line of products across all sporting categories Wilson’s portfolio. The store introduces Thomas E. Wilson Park, a unique indoor atrium designed to encourage play.

The flagship location will offer a curated line of premium gear across a variety of sports categories, including official NBA and WNBA basketballs, the duke – the official ball of the NFL, A2000 gloves, leading tennis racquets like Pro Staff and Clash, D9 irons and more. The store will also accommodate Wilson’s Athletic lifestyle sportswear collection available exclusively for both men and women at Wilson retail stores and on wilson.com. In-store services such as a full-time racquet stringing maestro, leather ball customization, golf simulator and glove personalization will be available to consumers.

Named after Wilson’s Founder, the Thomas E. Wilson Indoor Park will provide endless play and allow consumers to be at the center of their favorite sport. The play area can be converted to hit tennis balls, demonstrate racquets, play tag, shoot hoops and test every product the store has to offer. To keep partying NYC, the atrium also features a graffiti mural by a local NYC artist, Gregory Lamarche. The mural and the room are reminiscent of this Wilson’s History in sport and love of the city new York.

Wilson opened his first physical store in his hometown Chicago in July 2021 and a NYC pop-up store in Sep 2021. The brand has also been creating dynamic pop-up shops at sporting events such as the Super Bowl, the College World Series and the US Open for decades. Wilson will continue its direct-to-consumer expansion and open stores in The angel and shanghai in the coming year.
