The Winnebago County Conservation Board will be opening its two county campsites in Thorpe Park and Dahle Park on Friday April 30th! On that day all utilities will be available and the tables and rings of fire will be set up. Both parks also have pit toilets that are available for use.

Some changes have been made to camping prices, according to Lisa Ralls, a naturalist in Winnebago County.

Camping is limited to two weeks per stay at both locations. According to Ralls, people can pay their camping fees with cash or checks. However, the WCCB has a new option that will make camping in Winnebago County Parks more comfortable this year.

Those who are uncomfortable with keeping their information in a safe at the campsite have another option, according to Ralls.
