The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is partnering with NYS State Parks, DEC and the Division of Veterans’ Services this year Get Out Into Nature & Get Together Day, This will take place on Saturday June 11th. Fun and accessible outdoor events are taking place at 21 select state parks and DEC locations across the state! We hope you will join us! Activities at each location vary. Participants are asked to bring a picnic lunch.
At DEC locations, participants can discover new skills and enjoy a range of outdoor recreational activities for beginners such as fishing, nature walks and hikes, bird watching, archery, camping, paddle boarding and more. Learn more about the Get Outdoors & Get Together Day events at DEC locations.
